Bio
Hellen managed our startup of Agape Girls ministry and later served as the counselling manager and pioneered Agape’s trauma counselling program. Today she serves as a Sr. Consultant to bring trauma counselling and trauma informed care practices to emerging Agape Network Partners throughout Kenya.

Jonathan Dowell

Director of Expansion
Agape Children’s Ministry

Bio
Jonathan serves as the Director of Expansion for Agape Children’s Ministry. In this role, he is responsible for planting new Agape locations, training & consulting with outside organizations, and sharing The Agape Model with the broader community. Prior to this, Jonathan worked 10+ years in the IT industry as an engineer, IT Project Manager, and in Business Process Management.

Winfred Otieno

Manager of Rehabilitation
Agape Kitale Campus

Bio
Winfred serves as the Manager of Rehabilitation in the Agape Kitale Campus. Winfred has served as a teacher and manager in almost every department on campus and has intimate knowledge of how the Agape Model works on the ground. She has served in our Kisumu campus and then moved to the Kitale Campus to help with the startup of Agape Kitale as key mentor and leader.

Bio
Chris serves as the Kenya Field Director for Agape Children’s Ministry. In this role, Chris leads and disciples 125 missionaries and employees and the management of Agape’s operations in two cities. Prior to ministry with Agape, Chris served in a variety of leadership and management roles as an officer in the US Army.

Bio

Francis was founding pastor of Cornerstone Church in Simi Valley, California. In 2010, he left Cornerstone to work directly in mission with the poor locally and internationally. Beth Bradford

Changing the Way We Care

Bio
Beth is an international child protection consultant with twenty-five years of experience. She is currently the Technical Director for Changing the Way We Care. Her work with both government and non-government partners has focused on child protection and care systems development. More specifically, Beth’s work has focused on integrated case management, social work practice, deinstitutionalization and alternative care, holistic early childhood development, and family strengthening. Beth has experience in qualitative evaluation, program design and management, designing standards and guidance, and curriculum development and training.

Peter Muthui

Bio

Peter serves as a consultant at the orphanage he grew up in and is a member of the Kenya Society of Care Leavers advisory team. He is a founding partner and Director at Child in Family Focus – Kenya; a nonprofit organization that champions family based care for orphaned and vulnerable children through care reform. This includes advocacy, de-institutionalization and monitoring of governance in child care and protection matters in the country.
